Simply Lavish Real Wedding: Tiara & Jeremiah | The Barclay Villa

We are celebrating this Wedding Wednesday with our latest wedding where we had the pleasure of being wedding coordinator for Tiara & Jeremiah at their wedding to be held at the ever so gorgeous Barclay Villa located in Angier, NC.

My relationship with this couple all began with the bride, Tiara, who contacted me via Facebook and informed me she was referred to me by a former classmate of hers whom wedding I had planned & designed the prior year.  I was too excited about that, because any wedding planner will tell you the greatest review, or thank you from a former couple is them referring you to another couple.

When Tiara and I met we hit it off instantly. She was very soft spoken but had a lot of questions and reservations but I was able to advise her carefully and calm her fears on such an important day of her life.  She and her fiancĂ© came to me with their venue already booked.  To hear their wedding will be taking place at the beautiful castle like mansion got me all excited.  They chose the color palette of purple & clover green.

The wedding ceremony initially was to be held outside but Mother Nature had a change in plans.  All week we were checking the forecast and luck just wasn't looking to be on our side. So Plan B was all ready and set to go.

In the photos below you will see a fun-filled day with family and friends and how the day was pull together with a traditional elegant theme.

Thank you Tiara & Jeremiah for allowing Simply Lavish Weddings & Events to be a part of your day!
Here are some of our favorite details of the day.

Enjoy the view!

I'm Back!!

Well Hello there friends!   I know, I know...it's been a long time since I've participated in blogging. So I took off a few months (actually more months than I intended) from blogging because I was just plain wiped out. You have to understand that my time is split between being a fabulous wedding planner, wife, and now mother to a toddler. Let me just say I thought I had reached my breaking point. So I needed to step away, reflect, and refocus.  And now I'm back!

During these past months, there has been a lot going on. Again we have been busy (many weddings, baby showers, and birthdays, etc). I've been trying to stay somewhat up to date with our other social media platforms, so we have actually been visible, but there is nothing like blogging.  It's actually a bit therapeutic.

I know I can't play complete catch up, so I will share just a few events we've had the pleasure to plan, design, and or coordinate in the coming days and weeks. Currently I'm preparing for some much need changes and steady growth to come.  Yep, there are some changes/updates/upgrades coming down the pike line and I hope you'll stay tuned.

Bottom line:  running a business challenges you.  It challenges your patience, it challenges your relationships, it even challenges your character.....but I'm grateful for it all.  And while the part of 2013 and 2014 has brought about some new challenges, more importantly on my horizons is a change of focus.

I do hope you will join me as I continue on my journey!

Happy Planning!
