Friday's Fantastic Find: Ceremony Seating Request

Gone are the days when you have your wedding ushers greet your guest one by one and ask, “What side of the family are you with”? Professionally I’ve kind of gotten away from this old tradition because it can have your ceremony looking a bit lopsided with the overall view of the room via guest.

I believe it’s best to have a balanced room.  Now if a guest insists on sitting on a specific side due to kinship than you should really honor their request. I've found that guests are actually welcome to the best seating available.  Think about it, would you much rather sit maybe next to the last row on “your family side” versus in available seats via the “other side” that are five rows up from which you could have been. I think NOT! This is a wedding; everyone wants a good view of the couple.

So this Fantastic Find speaks to just that but takes it step further and focuses on the even BIGGER PICTURE & that’s on that special day two families become 1. There will no more "Bride's Side" or "Groom's Side".

Enjoy the view!

What is you opinion on this old tradition? Do you prefer to have the ceremony separated by the Bride’s Side and the Groom’s Side? Or Do you agree the families should come as one on that day and be seated as to balance out the room?
